FREASCO SELF assessment tool (copy for partners )

The FREASCO team created the Self-Assessment Tool so educators can improve gender equality: equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities of women and men and girls and boys (hyperlink for gender equality to: https://eige.europa.eu/gender-mainstreaming/toolkits/gear/what-gender-equality-plan-gep), in their academic setting.

We are particularly interested in improving the management and prevention of sexism: Actions or attitudes that discriminate against people based solely on their gender; sexual harrassment: any form of unwanted verbal, non-verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature occurs, with the purpose or effect of violating the dignity of a person, in particular when creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment; and homophobia: Irrational fear of, and aversion to, homosexuality and to lesbian, gay and bisexual people based on prejudice. In addition to a self-assessment score, this tool provides best practices from Europe as to how to inspire change. There are no wrong or right answers to the questions. We hope that responding to the questions is a way for you to identify and work on these important issues.

The test has 20 questions in total and 6 additional demographic questions at the end as well as 2 feedback questions. Useful tips before you get started: To navigate the test, scroll down to see the question below the picture and jump between questions by clicking next or previous. Hover over each question to see some additional info. Make sure to catch the good ideas for best practices after you receive a score, including the links to further materials if you’re interested.

The FREASCO tool is free and anonymous, so no one can trace the questions back to you. See the informed consent here. "To become equal for women and men, institutions must be willing to change."
